We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and have given that personal touch to every customer in our gallery over the past 20 years. We thank you for the opportunity to please and satisfy your desire for native arts.

My name is Andy Denton. My father and I opened The Windmill Gallery October 1987 at Brookhaven Village Shopping Center in Norman, Oklahoma. My father had been collecting Indian Art and befriending many artists for the previous 20 years. We had a couple of Art Openings with Rance Hood and Chebon Dacon at my dad's restaurant (Lafayettes) and they were pretty successful so we decided to open a Gallery. We started asking all of my dad's friends if we could represent them in the OKC area and they were all very receptive. Twenty years later here we are putting their works on the internet for all the world to see and enjoy!

We have ties to New Mexico so it was only natural that we go out there and spend some time seeing what they did in Santa Fe, Albuquerque and even Taos. We then added the Pueblo Pottery, Navajo, Zuni and Hopi Jewelry and other Southwest treasures. Anything Native and unique or "Southwest" in style has been in or can be found at The Windmill Gallery.

My Father and I cherish the relationships and friendships that we have developed over the years having been in the business of promoting Native Arts and Treasures. Being a part of that circle, we have been blessed with crossing paths with some of the most talented artisans and unique, geniune people in the world right here in Oklahoma. Our hope is that you agree and add a piece from our collection to your collection.

Custom Framing

We offer a unique style of framing in that we hand finish all of our moulding profiles. That is we start out with bare wood moulding. We do all the distressing, carving, finishing and painting accents, etc. We offer guilding, ie- Copper, Gold or Silver Leaf work. We can make a frame any color you want. We hand make fabric, seude or snakeskin mat liners, inside or out. We can custom build a frame for you using your art or ours.

I learned this style of custom framing from a master in the business with well over 40 years of experience, his name was Frank Williams. He passed away a few years ago but before he left I had the good fortune to spend some time with him learning some of the secrets of the trade. This is rapidly becoming a lost art as most custom frame shops use pre-finished mouldings nowadays. We are only limited by your imagination so if you would like us to create something special just for you please feel free to contact us.

We do all of this for about the same as what any frame shop charges for a quickly assembled pre-finished frame! Of course we can do those too if that is what you prefer. Call us and we will be happy to dicuss your idea or ours and what your options are.
